Bonnie Stepleton

Bonnie Stepleton is a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, N.M. She attended the University of Oregon where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1987. She was in private practice in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury before joining the Workers’ Compensation Administration in the late 1990s as a mediator. She then served at UNM School of Law as Assistant Dean for Student Services until January of 2015 when she rejoined the WCA as a mediator/supervisor.


Shannon Driscoll

Shannon Driscoll is from Columbus, Ohio. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Dayton, and in 2008, her law degree from the UNM School of Law. Driscoll has a passion for mediation, and has spent many years practicing the form in various settings. She spent two years as the statewide manager for the New Mexico Magistrate Court Mediation Program. Prior to that, she provided legal services and mediation. She is the current chair of the State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and Vice President of the New Mexico Mediation Association.


Amme Hogan

Amme Hogan has worked at the Workers’ Compensation Administration since 2001, beginning as Assistant General Counsel. She also worked as staff attorney for the director, and spent almost nine years representing the Uninsured Employers’ Fund before becoming a mediator. Hogan earned her B.A. in liberal arts from the University of Texas, with special honors in English; she earned her J.D. from the University of New Mexico. She also attended the Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming. Hogan has worked at the Public Defender Department in the Appellate Division; the Metro Division in Albuquerque; and was also in private practice several years before coming to the WCA.


Sarah Karni

Sarah Karni was born and raised in Albuquerque, N. M. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and, before returning to school, traveled, studied languages, and worked as a community builder and survivor advocate/counselor. After graduating from the UNM School of Law in 2001, she briefly practiced family law at an Albuquerque law firm. Karni spent several years investigating and prosecuting cases for the New Mexico Supreme Court's Disciplinary Board before joining the Workers' Compensation Administration as a mediator in January 2006.
