Robert E. Doucette, Internal Operations WCA Executive Deputy Director

Robert E. Doucette was appointed by Governor Susana Martinez and Director Ned Fuller to Executive Deputy Director of the New Mexico Workers' Compensation Administration (WCA) and assumed his position on April 4, 2011.

Raised in New Hampshire, Doucette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in English in 1998 from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, and was commissioned into the U.S. Army as an Air Defense Officer. He spent the next three years at Fort Bliss, Texas with a tour in Saudi Arabia as a platoon leader and later in a personnel management position in a Patriot Missile Air Defense Battalion.

Moving to New Mexico in 2001 with his wife Christina and children, Doucette worked from 2001 until his appointment to the WCA as the Bernalillo County Deputy Commissioner of District Five. While there he managed the day-to-day operations and the budget of the district and worked to procure funding for several high-dollar projects for the county district.

Mr. Doucette obtained his Master of Arts degree in Management and Leadership in 2004 from Webster University in Albuquerque.
