Introduction to New Booklets

The WCA's booklet series, The Workers' Compensation Handbook for New Mexico, has undergone a major revision. Almost all the booklets have been extensively revised and updated. These new booklets replace the smaller-format booklets that the WCA has been using for several years.
Among the major changes:

Booklet A2 - Setting up a Workers' Compensation Program -- has been extensively revised to include recommendations for Best Practices in human resources policies relating to workers' compensation and workplace safety - especially useful for new and small businesses.

Booklet B8 - Quick Facts for Health Care Providers -- is a very brief introduction to workers' compensation from the health care provider's perspective and is recommended for all doctors' offices and other health care providers.

Booklet A5 - Workers' Compensation Personnel Assessment Fee --has been updated to include new filing requirements and online filing options for the workers' compensation personnel assessment fee.

Booklet A4 - Uninsured Employers' Fund -- is of interest specifically to workers who may have been injured while employed by an illegally uninsured employer, and for the alleged employers involved in these claims.
